Its CRE investments comprises CRE debt, including floating rate first mortgage loans, subordinate mortgage and mezzanine loans, and participations in such loans; and floating rate CRE securities, such as commercial mortgage-backed securities and senior unsecured debt of publicly traded real estate investment trusts. The company has elected to be taxed as a real estate investment trust. As a result, it would not be subject to corporate income tax on that portion of its net income that is distributed to shareholders. Inpoint Commercial Real Estate Income, Inc. was incorporated in 2016 and is based in Oak Brook, Illinois.
